The Centre for Trusted Internet and Community (CTIC) and Media Literacy Council (MLC) organised the Digital Well-being Symposium on 25 March 2023 at NUS Shaw Foundation Alumni House.     Prof Audrey Yue and Dr Natalie Pang from the National University of Singapore as well as Mrs Anita Low-Lim from TOUCH Community Services delivered keynotes on Indicators of Digital Well-being and Parenting in the Digital Age.

    The pertinent issues surrounding online safety and mental well-being for both parents and children were further discussed in an expert panel comprising of representatives from Google, Meta, Twitter and Bytedance moderated by Prof Elmie Nekmat from the National University of Singapore.

    Also featuring two parallel tracks consisting of four curated workshops for youths, parents and social service professionals, participants delved into conversations surrounding the prevalence of Technology Facilitated Sexual Violence (TFSV) and how different parenting styles can be used to help children navigate the online space safely.
